Caitlin McGauley wallpaper

Caitlin McGauley is one of my favorite watercolorist. Her work is vibrant and charming.
Her rise to success is a great story as well, she left a comment on Lonny Magazine's website with a link to her work and an editor checked it out one day and she has been busy ever since. In addition to Lonny, her clients include Kate Spade, Domino, West Elm and RL Home to name a few.  Although I've only communicated with her via mail, she is as lovely as her artwork.  This fall, Studio Four NYC will be offering her new wallpaper collection!
(to the trade only)
A sneak peek--enjoy!
Grey Peony also comes in pink.
Anyone need help updating a powder room, hallway or bedroom?
These would look great in any space!

The Vase Wallpaper

A search is on for just the right wallpaper to transform a powder room.  Right now the space is plain beige with very little style.  Clarence House is known for their vibrant colors and great design, I've become slightly obsessed with the Vase by David Hicks lately.  Originally designed in 1962, it's become popular again and re-issued in 6 colorways.  It makes an impact without being overwhelming.  It might be just the thing!

Wallcoverings

Lately, I've been obsessed with grasscloth wallpaper.  It's such an elegant look (but not fancy) and adds so much interest to a space.  We have a powder room that really needs a facelift.  Grasscloth wallpaper, a Chippendale mirror and sconces would do wonders for the space.
The seams add to the charm of this wallcovering.
About ten years ago, I purchased this exact Chippendale mirror at an antique store and it's been in my closet ever since.  It would be perfect in the powder room.
Sconces are a beautiful addition on either side of a mirror and actually provide better lighting than a fixture hung above.  This is a favorite Scalamandre wallpaper too.  Celerie Kemble has a new line of beautiful wallcoverings for Schumacher, check them out here.

London calling

With the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the beginning of the Summer Olympics, London has been on the world's radar more than ever.  British wallpaper company Graham + Brown has designed wallpaper to commemorate this great city.

Framed wallpaper panels

Framing a favorite wallpaper is a great way to enhance a space without the commitment or expense of covering an entire wall(s).  There is a large space to which I'm considering adding wallpaper panels, these photos provide beautiful inspiration.
