Someday I'd like to have an Ina Garten inspired black and white kitchen with open shelving, hardwood floors and gas Viking range . . .

My final project in design school is a kitchen, so I have them on the brain right now :)

House Beautiful's Kitchen of the Year 2012

It's that time of year again, the House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year is on display at Rockefeller Center in New York City.  It ends July 20th.  It was designed by Mick De Giulio and is a beautiful living space in addition to being a well equipped kitchen.

Beautiful lights and open shelving.

Great idea for pots and pans--no more digging or stacking.

The butler's pantry is spectacular.  The ceiling, sink and crystal pulls all add very special touches.

Dining and living space.

Outdoor dining and cooking patio.  Beautifully done!

House Beautiful's Kitchen of the month April 2012

This is a great issue of House Beautiful and the kitchen of the month by Nicole Hough is fabulous!

 The chalkboard panels on the refrigerator and over sized island provide handy reminders and extra seating for a young family.

 Open shelving provides lots of storage and that gas range is heavenly. :)

 The original molding on the windows goes perfectly with the new herringbone patterned floor, the lighting is great for the period of this house.

 Who doesn't love the charm of a farm sink? and there is more seating tucked in the corner.

Wouldn't it be great to cook and hang out in this kitchen?

Recently, Martha Stewart launched her line of beautiful kitchens at Home Depot.  But, the cabinetry, counter tops and islands can also be configured for a laundry room.  I'll take this one! :D

Martha Stewart Kitchens at Home Depot

Recently, Martha posted on her blog a new line of kitchens available at Home Depot later this fall.  From the few photos I could find, they look beautiful.  This makes me want to completely redo my own kitchen!  Can't wait to take a peek at my own Home Depot.
